Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bicentennial Celebration (Liberty Bell) by Norman Rockwell was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,289.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Rockwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saying Grace in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 46,085,000.00 (€ 33,445,823.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bicentennial Celebration (Liberty Bell) von Norman Rockwell wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.289,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Rockwell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saying Grace im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.085.000,00 (€ 33.445.823,35).
