Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Nina Chanel Abney. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,037.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nina Chanel Abney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 7,210,000.00 (€ 816,683.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nina Chanel Abney zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.037,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nina Chanel Abney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.210.000,00 (€ 816.683,16).
