In December 2016 Christies in Mumbai held the auction The India Sale - South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Circus Scene); Untitled (Clown) by Nikhil Biswas. The »bidding war« ended at INR 250,000.00 (€ 3,482.75), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nikhil Biswas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Untitled Works sold at auction in March 2012 with the realized price of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27).

Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in Mumbai die Auktion The India Sale - South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Circus Scene); Untitled (Clown) von Nikhil Biswas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von INR 250.000,00 (€ 3.482,75) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nikhil Biswas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Untitled Works im März 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27).
