A top price for Nikhil Biswas - as previously expected
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Two Untitled Works by Nikhil Biswas. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two Untitled Works is the most expensive artwork by Nikhil Biswas that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Untitled Works von Nikhil Biswas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Two Untitled Works das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nikhil Biswas, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
