Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Crucifixion) by Nikhil Biswas was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,134.00 (€ 965.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Nikhil Biswas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Untitled Works in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Crucifixion) von Nikhil Biswas kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.134,00 (€ 965,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikhil Biswas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Untitled Works im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27).
