Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Horse) by Nikhil Biswas. The price achieved of GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,489.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikhil Biswas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Untitled Works, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Horse) von Nikhil Biswas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.489,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nikhil Biswas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Untitled Works beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27) versteigert wurde.
