Sold at the lower estimate price
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Tortoise by Nicola Hicks. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,385.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicola Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorry, Sorry Sarajevo in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,931.66).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tortoise von Nicola Hicks zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.385,14) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicola Hicks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sorry, Sorry Sarajevo im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.931,66).
