Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hush My Mouth by Nicola Hicks was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,339.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicola Hicks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sorry, Sorry Sarajevo in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,931.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hush My Mouth von Nicola Hicks kam im November 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.339,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicola Hicks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sorry, Sorry Sarajevo im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.931,66).
