Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Smoke And A Pancake by Nick Darmstaedter was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in March 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,408.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nick Darmstaedter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suck in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 117,991.76).
