Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tropic of the Pink Panther by Nick Darmstaedter was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,250.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nick Darmstaedter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suck in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 117,991.76).

Die Arbeit Tropic of the Pink Panther von Nick Darmstaedter kam im Dezember 2019 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.250,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nick Darmstaedter erzielen.
