Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nick Darmstaedter could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in February 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Handle With Care auction, the work Graphite Girlfriend changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,647.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nick Darmstaedter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suck in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 117,991.76).
