Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work Paddle steamer in Plymouth Sound off Mt. Edgcumbe; Paddle steamer off a lighthouse, a pair each 17.8 x 22.8cm (7 x 9in). (2) by Nicholas Matthew Condy. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,216.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Matthew Condy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fernande, R.W.Y.C. winning the Queen's Vase, Plymouth, August 26th, 1849; and A schooner yacht at anchor off Mount Edgcumbe, Plymouth in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 41,125.00 (€ 59,035.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paddle steamer in Plymouth Sound off Mt. Edgcumbe; Paddle steamer off a lighthouse, a pair each 17.8 x 22.8cm (7 x 9in).
