Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work A gentleman rowing towards a cutter on the Hamoaze, River Tamar by Nicholas Matthew Condy. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,601.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Matthew Condy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fernande, R.W.Y.C. winning the Queen's Vase, Plymouth, August 26th, 1849; and A schooner yacht at anchor off Mount Edgcumbe, Plymouth in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 41,125.00 (€ 59,035.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A gentleman rowing towards a cutter on the Hamoaze, River Tamar von Nicholas Matthew Condy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.601,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicholas Matthew Condy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fernande, R.W.Y.C. winning the Queen's Vase, Plymouth, August 26th, 1849; and A schooner yacht at anchor off Mount Edgcumbe, Plymouth im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 41.125,00 (€ 59.035,55).
