Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Nursing a Baby by Nguyen Phan Chanh. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,973.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nguyen Phan Chanh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 10,930,000.00 (€ 1,152,878.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nursing a Baby von Nguyen Phan Chanh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.973,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Phan Chanh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Couturières (Seamstresses at Work) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.930.000,00 (€ 1.152.878,17).
