Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work The Guard Tower, from 'Reflections of Robben Island' sold for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,865.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cell Door, Robben Island in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 112,575.00 (€ 100,973.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit The Guard Tower, from 'Reflections of Robben Island' für GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.865,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cell Door, Robben Island im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.575,00 (€ 100.973,18).
