In the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online auction, the work Two lithographs (i-ii) sold for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,802.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cell Door, Robben Island in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 112,575.00 (€ 100,973.18).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online wurde die Arbeit Two lithographs (i-ii) für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.802,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cell Door, Robben Island im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.575,00 (€ 100.973,18).
