Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hand Of Africa (Right Hand), From Impressions Of Nelson Mandela by Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,536.00 (€ 1,787.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cell Door, Robben Island in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 112,575.00 (€ 100,973.18).
