Sold at the lower estimate price
In November 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Projecto Alfabetizaçao by Nelson Leirner. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,433.29) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Leirner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homenagem a Fontana I in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 359,000.00 (€ 263,854.18).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Projecto Alfabetizaçao von Nelson Leirner zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.433,29) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Leirner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homenagem a Fontana I im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 359.000,00 (€ 263.854,18).
