Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figurativismo Abstrato by Nelson Leirner was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,221.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Leirner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homenagem a Fontana I in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 359,000.00 (€ 263,854.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figurativismo Abstrato von Nelson Leirner kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.221,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Leirner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homenagem a Fontana I im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 359.000,00 (€ 263.854,18).
