This artwork by Neil Welliver achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. In the Prints & Multiples Online auction, the work Canada Geese sold for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,335.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Neil Welliver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anonymous Freshet in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 53,125.00 (€ 49,460.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Neil Welliver erzielte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples Online wurde die Arbeit Canada Geese für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.335,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Neil Welliver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Anonymous Freshet im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.125,00 (€ 49.460,01).
