Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Neal Tait could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,854.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Neal Tait achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Varda in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Neal Tait konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.854,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Neal Tait erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Varda im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
