The work Portrait Of Eliza Fitzgerald by Nathaniel Dance-Holland was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2007. It achieved a price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,378.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nathaniel Dance-Holland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thomas Assheton-Smith (1752-1828), full-length, in a red jacket in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 400,000.00 (€ 469,082.94).
