Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Morning Glory) by Narayan Shridhar Bendre. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 59,523.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Narayan Shridhar Bendre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Three Women), which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 225,000.00 (€ 194,350.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Morning Glory) von Narayan Shridhar Bendre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 59.523,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Narayan Shridhar Bendre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Three Women) beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 225.000,00 (€ 194.350,87) versteigert wurde.
