This artwork by Narayan Shridhar Bendre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Gathering) sold for USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,358.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Narayan Shridhar Bendre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Three Women) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 194,350.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Narayan Shridhar Bendre erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Gathering) für USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.358,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Narayan Shridhar Bendre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Three Women) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 194.350,87).
