Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Above Level by Narayan Shridhar Bendre. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,940.00 (€ 20,386.61), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Narayan Shridhar Bendre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Three Women) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 194,350.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Above Level von Narayan Shridhar Bendre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 20.386,61) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Narayan Shridhar Bendre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Three Women) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 194.350,87).
