Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Landscape) by Narayan Shridhar Bendre for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,143.99). This price was achieved in the auction The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Narayan Shridhar Bendre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Three Women) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 194,350.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) von Narayan Shridhar Bendre für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.143,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Narayan Shridhar Bendre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Three Women) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 194.350,87).
