Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Kashmir Series) by Narayan Shridhar Bendre was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 71,262.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Narayan Shridhar Bendre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Three Women), which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 225,000.00 (€ 194,350.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Kashmir Series) von Narayan Shridhar Bendre kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 71.262,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Narayan Shridhar Bendre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Three Women) beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 225.000,00 (€ 194.350,87) versteigert wurde.
