Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Times Square by Narayan Shridhar Bendre was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,425.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Narayan Shridhar Bendre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Three Women) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 194,350.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Times Square von Narayan Shridhar Bendre wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.425,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Narayan Shridhar Bendre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Three Women) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 194.350,87).
