In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work The Three Angels by Nahum Gutman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,618.36), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nahum Gutman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tiberias Landscape in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 218,226.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Three Angels von Nahum Gutman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.618,36) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nahum Gutman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tiberias Landscape im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 218.226,26).
