Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Couple And Wagon) by N. C. Wyeth was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 432,500.00 (€ 384,923.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by N. C. Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Couple And Wagon) von N. C. Wyeth wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 432.500,00 (€ 384.923,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
