Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Slag was a Figure for Sculptors by N. C. Wyeth was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 412,101.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by N. C. Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Slag was a Figure for Sculptors von N. C. Wyeth kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 412.101,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von N. C. Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.985.900,00 (€ 5.129.305,91).
