Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ayrton'S Fight With The Pirates by N. C. Wyeth was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The price achieved of USD 237,500.00 (€ 211,468.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by N. C. Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).

Die Arbeit Ayrton'S Fight With The Pirates von N. C. Wyeth wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 211.468,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden.
