Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Independence Day (At Concord Bridge) by N. C. Wyeth was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 867,000.00 (€ 768,140.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by N. C. Wyeth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Independence Day (At Concord Bridge) von N. C. Wyeth kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 867.000,00 (€ 768.140,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von N. C. Wyeth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.985.900,00 (€ 5.129.305,91).
