Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Ogier And Morgana (Ogier Dismounted And Took Some Steps Along The Stream, But Was Soon Stopped By Meeting A Young Beauty, Such As They Paint The Graces.) by N. C. Wyeth. The price achieved of USD 475,000.00 (€ 431,073.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by N. C. Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).

Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ogier And Morgana (Ogier Dismounted And Took Some Steps Along The Stream, But Was Soon Stopped By Meeting A Young Beauty, Such As They Paint The Graces.) von N. C. Wyeth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 475.000,00 (€ 431.073,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von N. C. Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.985.900,00 (€ 5.129.305,91).
