Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Country Gentleman Cover) by N. C. Wyeth was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 88,245.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by N. C. Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Country Gentleman Cover) von N. C. Wyeth wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 88.245,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von N. C. Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.985.900,00 (€ 5.129.305,91).
