It achieved a price of USD 680,000.00 (€ 609,920.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Admittedly, works by N. C. Wyeth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).

Die Arbeit "I'Ve Promised You I Would. I Will Promise Every Time You Ask Me." von N. C. Wyeth wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 680.000,00 (€ 609.920,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von N. C. Wyeth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.985.900,00 (€ 5.129.305,91).
