Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Bringing In The Ears (Composition Drawing) by N. C. Wyeth for USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,511.79). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by N. C. Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,985,900.00 (€ 5,129,305.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bringing In The Ears (Composition Drawing) von N. C. Wyeth für USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.511,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von N. C. Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Farmer (Pennsylvania Farmer) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.985.900,00 (€ 5.129.305,91).
