Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Ecran Noir N°1 by Mounir Fatmi for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,259.90). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part II at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mounir Fatmi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sonia Sonia Sonia in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 176,944.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ecran Noir N°1 von Mounir Fatmi für USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.259,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mounir Fatmi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sonia Sonia Sonia im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 233.000,00 (€ 176.944,11).
