Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Moshekwa Langa could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work (I) Runaway Horse (Ii) Drama In Real Life changed hands for GBP 281.00 (€ 354.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moshekwa Langa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape I in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,932.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Moshekwa Langa konnte im März 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit (I) Runaway Horse (Ii) Drama In Real Life für GBP 281,00 (€ 354,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Moshekwa Langa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape I im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.932,55).
