Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Serie Divertiment (Six Watercolors) by Modest Cuixart was sold in the Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century auction at Sothebys in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,826.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Modest Cuixart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brufungles in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Serie Divertiment (Six Watercolors) von Modest Cuixart wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.826,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Modest Cuixart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Brufungles im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
