Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century, which included the work Orlando by Modest Cuixart. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,978.93). Admittedly, works by Modest Cuixart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brufungles in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orlando von Modest Cuixart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.978,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Modest Cuixart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Brufungles im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
