Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Modest Cuixart could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century auction, the work Noemí changed hands for USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,348.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Modest Cuixart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brufungles in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Modest Cuixart konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century wechselte die Arbeit Noemí für USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.348,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Modest Cuixart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brufungles im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
