Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Argument by Modest Cuixart was sold in the Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century auction at Sothebys in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,587.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Modest Cuixart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brufungles in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 37,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Argument von Modest Cuixart wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.587,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Modest Cuixart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brufungles im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.500,00.
