In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online, which included the work Naoko with Ice-cream by Mitsuru Watanabe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,549.64), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mitsuru Watanabe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Naoko with Ice-cream von Mitsuru Watanabe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.549,64) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mitsuru Watanabe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28).
