In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work NAOKO IS VISITING THE SLEEPING GYPSY BY ROUSSEAU by Mitsuru Watanabe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,674.62), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mitsuru Watanabe have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28) in May 2016 for the work Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau.

Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit NAOKO IS VISITING THE SLEEPING GYPSY BY ROUSSEAU von Mitsuru Watanabe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.674,62) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Mitsuru Watanabe haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28) im Mai 2016 für die Arbeit Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau beobachtet.
