Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work MEMORY OF FOREST, NAOKO AND POTATO CHIPS by Mitsuru Watanabe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 450,000.00 (€ 54,835.51), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mitsuru Watanabe have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28) in May 2016 for the work Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit MEMORY OF FOREST, NAOKO AND POTATO CHIPS von Mitsuru Watanabe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 450.000,00 (€ 54.835,51) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Mitsuru Watanabe haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28) im Mai 2016 für die Arbeit Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau beobachtet.
