Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Mithu Sen. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,648.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mithu Sen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Untitled Works in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,953.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mithu Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.648,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mithu Sen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Untitled Works im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.900,00 (€ 18.953,45).
