A top price for Mithu Sen - as previously expected
The work Four Untitled Works by Mithu Sen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,953.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Four Untitled Works is the most expensive artwork by Mithu Sen that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Four Untitled Works von Mithu Sen kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.900,00 (€ 18.953,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Four Untitled Works das teuerste Kunstwerk von Mithu Sen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
