Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird by Mithu Sen was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in June 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,101.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mithu Sen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four Untitled Works in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 18,953.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird von Mithu Sen kam im Juni 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.101,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mithu Sen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four Untitled Works im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.900,00 (€ 18.953,45).
