Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Office Door from Family Business by Mitch Epstein. The price achieved of USD 5,080.00 (€ 4,806.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mitch Epstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amos Coal Power Plant, West Virginia from American Power in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,993.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Office Door from Family Business von Mitch Epstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.080,00 (€ 4.806,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mitch Epstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amos Coal Power Plant, West Virginia from American Power im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.993,55).
